Supreme x Toy Machine.

Toy Machine is one of my favourite skateboarding company ever, it’s the perfect mix of the “skateboarding subcultural incarnation” established by Ed Templeton in 1993 has remained true to this day. Templeton is an artist and professional skateboarder who grew up in Huntington Beach, CA. He skated for New Deal between 1990 and 1992, and later formed Toy Machine in 1993. From its outset, Toy Machine established itself as an influential voice in skateboarding, with an emphasis on satiric critique. Templeton creates all of the company’s artwork, including its classic characters: the sect, monster and devil cat.

What also I really loved of this company is the music, Templeton always wanted underground, punk and post punk music in his Toy Machine Skateboards videos. His good friendship with Ian Mackaye, best known as the singer of Fugazi, Minor Threat and the founder of Dischord Records had an important role in the making of all Toy Machine videos sountracks, did you see it? …I love it!

In 1994 — after releasing Toy Machine’s debut video Live! — Templeton sought to develop a new team. He recruited Jamie Thomas, Brian Anderson, Elissa Steamer, Donny Barley, Mike Maldonado, Satva Leung and Chad Muska, and began work on what would become 1996’s Welcome to Hell. Widely regarded as one of skateboarding’s most influential videos, Welcome to Hell endures as a touchpoint for generations of skateboarders for its creativity, legendary slam section and timeless skating.

Supreme has worked with Toy Machine on a new collection for Spring 2024. The collection consists of a Faux Leather Vest, Harrington Jacket, Sweater, Work Pant, three T-Shirts, 5-Panel, Belt, Skateboard and JBL® Clip Speaker.

For all Toy Machine Skateboards fans is a little strange to see Toy Machine collaborating with what is now best known as a Fashion Brand, it would be greater some years ago…but don’t forget where do Supreme brand comes from.

This collection is probably sold out at the moment, discover the full range at:
