During ARCO 2018, the collector Tatxo Benet acquired a work by the artist Santiago Sierra, Presos políticos en la España contemporánea. Hours later, when it was already his property, the gallery that had sold it removed the piece from the stand. The mere qualification of “political prisoners” caused it to be CENSURED. Someone felt that visitors to that edition of ARCO should not encounter the work of Santiago Sierra.
